Why you SHOULD be on LINKEDIN!

Growing your digital presence can be challenging at the best of times. Not only time consuming but, also EXPENSIVE (if you go down the paid ad route).

So, how can brands maximise their social presence, gain further engagement and even increase their chances of creating tangible leads?

Well… here’s our reasons why you and your business need to be ACTIVE on LinkedIn!

675 Million Monthly Users.

Believe or not. LinkedIn is actually considered to be one of the first social media networks created. It was founded back in 2002 by Reid Hoffman (who was also part of the infamous ‘PayPal’ Mafia – we’ll come back to this in another blog).

LinkedIn has been growing and developing at a rather stable and impressive rate since. It now has 675 million monthly users. With 260 million users being active. That’s a lot of people.

In contrast, Twitter has less than half that amount. With 330 million monthly users. Considering it’s younger age. Twitter has also had a rather unstable growth and development rate, along with countless other management issues and conflicts.

But, that’s not to say that Twitter isn’t an incredibly useful and powerful tool… (Trump is a perfect example of that).

The 3 Billion User Goal.

The goal for LinkedIn is to get to 3 billion users!

That’s a lot off people. Like a lot. To put that in perspective. As of the second quarter of 2020 – Facebook now currently has over 2.7 billion ACTIVE monthly users. So, it’s an achievable goal from LinkedIn.

With all the growth potential still to happen. Why wouldn’t you or your brand want to take advantage of the engagement, leads and growth rate?

That’s not to mention the 30 million companies already on LinkedIn…along with the 20 million job listings…

9 Billion+ Content Impressions Per Week.

That means LinkedIn is creating 38 billion impressions per month and a huge 468 billion impressions per year!

But, the potential for you and your brand to stand out and create engagement is MASSIVE.

There’s a reason why your colleague ‘Bob’ or your competitor get so much traction on their LinkedIn posts (whether or not they’re actually good at what they do…)

We explore this below.

Only 3 Million Users Share Content Weekly!

Yes. You read that right and no we don’t mean 30 million or even 300 million. Only 3 million people share content on LinkedIn, weekly.

That means 3 million people get 9 billion impressions…every week…

*Mind Blown*

Thats an awful lot of engagement you could be creating for yourself or your brand.

And if you don’t start sometime. It will only get harder and more costly. As, we’ve seen with Instagram.

LinkedIn Generates 3X More Conversions Than Twitter or Facebook.

Not only do 91% of marketing executives list LinkedIn as their top place to find quality content.

The social platform generates a seriously impressive 3X lead conversion rate (against Twitter or Facebook). Unsurprisingly, it’s the place to find and do B2B sales and marketing.

It's Cheaper Than AdWords

Not only cheaper than Google AdWords. The conversion rate from ads is substantially higher than Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram or even Facebook.

The average conversion rate for LinkedIn Ads is 6.1%!

  • Facebook = 4.7%
  • Insta = 3.1%
  • Pinterest = 2.9%
  • Twitter = 0.9%

And bare in mind, the average conversion rate for Google Adwords (PPC) is only 3.75% for search ads and 0.77% for display ads.

If you advertise right. You’ll see an impressive return on conversions but, that doesn’t mean that you focus on sales…
